We do our part to help the City of Oakland Recycling & Solid Waste Program responsibly manage solid waste from Oakland residents, businesses, events, and construction activity, including efforts to meet local and State mandated requirements to divert materials from landfill disposal.

Five stars are not enough stars for Kevin and American Hauling!!! Here it is, two days before my big move to Sacramento, and I have a horrible sleeper/sofa and a bunch of old crap and debris in my backyard that I need to get rid of. I called Kevin at 2:30 this afternoon, and he was booked for the rest of the day. Even so, he offered to take his time after work to come by and give me an estimate. When his last job canceled, he called me up and told me that he could do my job today–he was here within 20 minutes and he and his guys finished the job in less than 1 hour!! Kevin’s rates were very reasonable, he and his guys worked efficiently and were very conscientious and polite, and Kevin was EXTREMELY patient with me as I asked him for advice and made decisions about what to get rid of. I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful, family owned business. They took a huge load of worry off my mind by taking a huge load of junk out of my house and yard!!!
I don’t yelp very much but I logged in just to share how awesome Kevin and his team are. I needed my existing detached garage and the concrete slab demo’d to make way for my new construction. Kevin was able to come over and give me a quote right away. Like many of the other reviews have mentioned, he’s just a great guy and his team is awesome. They knocked it out in two days at a competitive price. The whole experience was awesome but specifically I really felt like Kevin heard my special requests and that he and his crew cared. I needed to take special care of my neighbors fence and they did that… I requested that they be gentle with the shingles of my house when removing my fence and they did that… So, I got everything I was hoping for, at a great price and I have only great things to say about American Hauling. Wow! Kevin is selling and serving up FREEDOM! Freedom from “things”! He came over to haul away a hunk of junk for me in a really tight situation. Clearance issues, muscle power needed and a whole lot of stress! I can breathe now because he and his crew did the the job in less than 30 minutes! Quick, painless and my what a problem solver! Kevin was recommended to me by a friend and WHAT PLEASURE IT WAS working with him! I had previously booked another hauling company but when I called back to confirm…he was rude and said…that if I was worried that I could just cancel the appointment. I phoned Kevin because of all the glowing reviews on Yelp and he and his crew showed up on time, ready to go to work. Not only did they just haul stuff out to their large accommodating truck, but they broke down several large items of furniture that I was sure would not fit out the doors. I pointed and they made it all disappear. Then Kevin swept up afterwards. The price was extremely reasonable, and more than fair for the service they provided. I would definitely phone Kevin again and am going to recommend him to my real estate agent and anyone else who needs a hauler. This guy is a treasure! I am moving from one office to a smaller one on the same floor and had a load of junk that needed to go to the landfill…old file cabinets, broken chairs, and general junk that can’t be recycled. I called Kevin based on his Yelp reviews and he was there within an hour!! He was friendly, professional, his rates are fair (he actually quoted me a rate over the phone) and a pleasure to work with. Along with the detritus there was one shopping bag of papers I forgot to recycle earlier. Kevin asked if he could drop it off at the recycle center or if it was sensitive material that should be shredded. I was impressed that he asked. Who else would have done that?!! He was in and out within a half-hour. Brilliant! After years of dealing with “junk guys” who don’t show up or are late and do a sloppy job, American Hauling just went to the front of my rolodex of can’t-live-without companies. Rock on Kevin!!

We do light demolition (kitchens, floors, decks, patios, or other non-structural framing) if your stuff needs demo before it’s hauled away.
